DEAG STRENGTHENS ARTS+EXHIBITIONS BUSINESS SEGMENT AND OPENS NEW EXHIBITION AND SHOW SPACE „ARCHES AT LONDON BRIDGE“ IN LONDON IN 2023

Berlin, 15 December 2022 – DEAG Deutsche Entertainment Aktiengesellschaft ("DEAG") is continuing to expand its activities in the Arts+Exhibitions business segment in accordance with its strategy. In London (UK), one of the largest arts and cultural cities in the world, DEAG will operate a new exhibition and show centre named “ARCHES AT LONDON BRIDGE”. The DEAG subsidiary Kilimanjaro Group has concluded a long-term lease agreement for the venue for an initial period of 15 years.

The arrival of ARCHES AT LONDON BRIDGE marks a significant contribution to the cultural landscape, enabling the facilitation of highly sought-after exhibitions and experiences from world recognised artists and brands. ARCHES AT LONDON BRIDGE has an event space of around 1,050 square metres with state-of-the-art technology for up to 400,000 visitors annually. The event location will feature curved 6m high 360 degree cavernous galleries, and will be a perpetual artistic space, showcasing the world’s most fantastical exhibition content. From exhibitions featuring some of the largest entertainment brands in the world, to the new and emerging visitor experiences entering the market, the myriad of cultural, comedy, and potentially theatrical as well as spoken word wonders will be endless.

A permanent fixed space designed by renowned architects, Cubit3D, with a constantly revolving array of exciting tours and exhibitions, ARCHES AT LONDON BRIDGE, gives London the opportunity to host visitor experiences and interactive events that are already enjoyed by other major cities around the world.

Opening its doors in late Spring 2023 for the first time with the launch of the immersive art experience, „Monet’s Garden“. A fantastic 360-degree journey through the history and works of one of the greatest artists of the past century, the unique exhibition concept is staged with state-of-the-art multimedia technology, allowing visitors to immerse themselves completely in the world and famous artworks of the Impressionist painter Claude Monet (1840-1926). Elaborate installations and projections, combined with music and a strong narrative, create rushing worlds of colour, which bring the paintings to life in a tangible way never seen before. For the audience, illusions transform into reality.

Professor Peter L.H. Schwenkow CEO of DEAG comments: “We are delighted to further expand our business segment Arts+Exhibitions and to be part of UK‘s very vibrant cultural and artistic life with ARCHES AT LONDON BRIDGE. With over 70 million overnight stays per year, London is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. ARCHES AT LONDON BRIDGE is located in the heart of London, close to attractions such as Tower Bridge, London Bridge and The Shard. By taking over the management of another venue, DEAG is able to act as venue, as co-producer, or producer in the cultural hotspot of central London.”

Stuart Galbraith CEO of Kilimanjaro adds: “Our aim is to make ARCHES AT LONDON BRIDGE a thrilling cultural encounter for Londoners and tourists alike, bringing a constantly changing line-up of highly sought after exhibits and interactive experiences, that are already enjoyed by other major cities across the globe.”
